Mrs. Sharkey's Aurasma project

 

Aurasma is an iPad app that allows a viewer to experience "augmented reality."  By using the app to scan a picture, the user can trigger a digital experience.

 

Mrs. Sharkey found a creative educational use for this app. She recorded video book reviews made by her students, and these were then attached to the image of the book covers.  The students could then scan book covers using an iPad or iPod, and the video book review would immediately play.
