Mrs. Sharkey highly recommends EDpuzzle, which is an online tool that allows teachers to use videos more effectively as part of their lessons. Recently, she enriched her digital citizenship curriculum by creating customized videos with built in formative assessments and voice notes.

Teachers have many options: 1. they can select preexisting video lessons, 2. they can search for YouTube videos, or 3. they can upload original videos.  The selected video can then be customized with voice notes, voiceovers, and quizzes. The video can also be cut and shortened to its most relevant section.

EDpuzzle offers excellent integration with Google education accounts; for example, if you already have a pre-existing Classroom, you can import your roster directly into EDpuzzle, and easily post EDpuzzle video lessons on your Google Classroom wall.
