Ms. Johnson's Morning Routine

 

Ms. Johnson and Ms. Rubino's Kindergarteners begin their day on the rug, gathered around the SMART Board.  Ms. Johnson used the SMART Notebook software to create a series of interactive slides that engage the children first thing in the morning.  After the day's Morning Message, the children drag and drop their names on the SMART Board to take attendance, and they use the interactive slides to discuss the weather, the days of the week, and the agenda for the day.  The children also count up to 100 using a hundreds chart.  Learning experiences begin bright and early in the K-101 classroom!
