Movenote presentations

 

Ms. Orozco enhanced her Mystery Story Unit by allowing her 7th graders to present their original stories to the rest of the class using the Movenote application.

 

Movenote allows us to create presentations with a video component. The user can add a video commentary to a completed presentation (e.g., a PowerPoint file) or to a series of files (e.g., documents, PDFs, photos).  The user controls the slide changes while speaking into the computer's video camera.  Once the project is completed and saved, it is easily shared via a URL.

 

Ms. Orozco's students showed great creativity in using this new digital tool.  The process allowed them to record multiple takes, improving the quality of the final projects.
